Plot

In this television adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' timeless tale, Edmond Dantes finds himself wrongfully imprisoned in the infamous Chateau d'If, a victim of envy from those around him. During his confinement, he befriends Abbe Faria, an eccentric inmate who reveals the existence of a hidden treasure on a secluded island. Following the Abbe's death, Edmond cleverly escapes by masquerading as his deceased friend. Now at liberty, he embarks on a quest to uncover the treasure, using his newfound riches to seek vengeance against those who betrayed him.
