Plot
In "Fireworks," troubled police detective Nishi finds himself in a dire situation as he grapples with his wife's battle against leukemia and his business partner's paralysis due to a vicious attack by gangsters. In a bid to restore some semblance of order in his chaotic life, Nishi resorts to borrowing money from a yakuza loan shark. However, desperate times call for desperate measures, leading him to rob a bank in an attempt to settle his debts and regain control over his spiraling circumstances.
