Plot
Amidst the turmoil of the Peninsular War in Spain, Sergeant Richard Sharpe earns a promotion to Lieutenant after heroically saving Arthur Wellesley, who would later become the Duke of Wellington. To secure funds for his troops, Wellesley requires a money draft from the elusive banker Rothschild, who is feared captured by the French. Tasked with a perilous mission, Sharpe leads a skilled platoon of riflemen, including the gruff Irishman Harper and resentful soldiers Hagman and Harris, who question his authority as an unconventional officer. Tensions rise as they navigate treachery and warfare.
