Plot
Prominent lawyer Geoffrey Sherwood spirals into a drunken escapade after his fiancée Valentine breaks off their engagement, unexpectedly marrying a stranger, Miriam Brady. Determined to make their union work, the couple receives guidance from their landlady, a former Floradora girl, who helps Miriam embrace sophistication. As Geoffrey's life stabilizes, Valentine reappears, expressing regret over their past. In a fierce confrontation, Miriam stands her ground against Valentine. Amidst the turmoil, Geoffrey’s decision to relocate to his club leads to a sobering conversation with Valentine’s husband, who warns him of the folly in abandoning Miriam.
