Plot
On August 12, 2000, the K-141 Kursk submarine tragically sinks during a Russian naval drill in the Barents Sea, leaving 118 crew members trapped inside. As the surviving sailors fight against dire conditions, their families desperately seek the truth about the incident. A British officer faces bureaucratic hurdles in his quest to secure permission from the Russian authorities for a rescue mission. Despite the mounting pressure and urgency, systemic incompetence hinders all attempts to save the trapped crew, highlighting the human struggle against overwhelming odds.
