Plot

Thirteen-year-old Jackie and her inseparable friend Nova share countless adventures, from spending time in the horse paddock to joyriding on Epa tractors. Their carefree world shifts dramatically during a farewell party when they experiment with pink pills purchased from Casper, the local dealer and mail carrier. Tragically, the night ends in heartbreak when Nova dies, forcing Jackie to confront overwhelming grief and solitude. As she navigates this emotional turmoil, Jackie grapples with the guilt of her friend’s fate, forever altering their once vibrant friendship.
