Plot
Fourteen-year-old Stefan Kolbe relocates with his mother and sister from a charming small town to the developing neighborhood of Berlin-Marzahn, where his father is employed as a construction worker. Navigating this unfamiliar setting proves challenging as Stefan encounters new faces and experiences. He forms connections with two girls who pursue him romantically and finds himself at odds with a landlord eager to ingratiate himself with authority. Amidst this turmoil, he befriends timid Hubert, whom he defends against bullying from the older Windjacke. Their relationship culminates in a tragic confrontation that leaves a lasting impact.
