Young Ahmed (2019)

Plot

Ahmed, a Belgian teenager, becomes radicalized under the influence of his imam, who convinces him that his teacher is an apostate deserving of death. Driven by this distorted belief, Ahmed attempts to carry out the assassination but ultimately fails. As a consequence, he is placed in a juvenile rehabilitation facility, where he must confront the consequences of his actions and the conflicting ideologies that have shaped his worldview. The story explores themes of extremism, identity, and the struggle for redemption in a fractured society.
