Plot

Kakunoshin Yanagida, a once-proud samurai, finds himself exiled from the Han due to a baseless accusation, plunging him and his daughter Kinu into a life of hardship. Despite their poverty, Kakunoshin clings to his samurai values, demonstrating honor even during his favorite pastime of playing Go. When the truth about the false charges finally surfaces, Kakunoshin is consumed by anger and a desire for vengeance. Faced with the heartbreaking choice of seeking retribution or remaining with Kinu, he grapples with the potential cost of reclaiming his honor.
