Plot
Amedeo Modigliani, affectionately known as Modi, navigates a turbulent 72 hours in war-ravaged Paris during 1916. As he evades the police, his wish to abandon his artistic pursuits clashes with the encouragement of fellow artists like Maurice Utrillo and Chaim Soutine, along with his muse, Beatrice Hastings. Seeking guidance from his art dealer and confidant, Leopold Zborowski, Modi spirals into a night filled with vivid hallucinations. The whirlwind reaches its peak when he encounters American collector Maurice Gangnat, a figure who could potentially alter the trajectory of his troubled life.
