Plot

Sasha Skochilenko, a daring artist from St. Petersburg, sparked controversy by altering supermarket price tags to voice her opposition to Russia's military actions in Ukraine. Now imprisoned and awaiting trial, her friends Sonia and Lesha navigate the harrowing realities of the Russian legal system while supporting her. Their journey reveals the absurdities and dangers faced by those standing up against oppression. Over 18 months, the friends endure anxiety and threats, culminating in November 2023 when Sasha is handed an additional seven-year sentence for her courageous act of artistic defiance.
