Plot

Set against the lush backdrop of Puerto Rico, this 1959 film-noir adaptation of "Othello" follows Jean, played by Mari Blanchard, a young woman who marries wealthy plantation owner Don Luis for stability. However, her heart sways towards Carlos, Luis's charismatic foster son. When Miguel, the avaricious cousin, learns of Jean's affections and fears her potential inheritance, he manipulates Don Luis into believing his wife is unfaithful.
