Plot
King Richard, believing in his divine right to rule, whimsically exiles Henry Bolingbroke and confiscates his father's lands. As Richard becomes embroiled in a rebellion in Ireland, Bolingbroke seizes the opportunity to return to England, determined to reclaim his heritage. With the backing of discontented nobles, he aims not only to recover his estate but also to challenge Richard’s authority and possibly claim the throne for himself. Tensions rise as power dynamics shift, setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation between king and challenger.
