Plot

After being overlooked for a promotion, Chinese-American computer programmer Leo Fang suspects his ethnicity played a role in the decision, prompting him to resign. He decides to take his family on a trip to Mainland China to reconnect with their heritage and visit the Chao relatives. However, the family's cultural differences spark a series of humorous misunderstandings and conflicts between the generations—men, women, and teenagers alike—revealing the complexities of identity and family dynamics in a rapidly changing world.
