Plot

François Marsault, a retired war veteran, enjoys his life with his wife, Annie. Known for his strict and domineering nature, François controls his family with an unwavering grip. However, everything changes when he learns that Annie had an affair four decades earlier. Enraged, he decides to file for divorce and sets out to confront the man who was once involved with her, tracking him down to the picturesque French Riviera.
