Plot
Navy officials remain skeptical about the effectiveness of new PT boats, much to Lt. "Rusty" Ryan's dismay. Following the Pearl Harbor attack, Ryan and his friend Lt. Brickley finally receive orders to deploy their squadron. In combat, the PT boats exceed expectations, demonstrating their capabilities by downing Japanese aircraft, communicating vital messages across islands, and sinking numerous enemy vessels. As Ryan and Brickley navigate the challenges of warfare, their determination and the performance of the boats redefine the course of naval strategy in the Pacific theater.
