Plot

President Lincoln's final act in office paves the way for the Union Pacific Railroad to connect the East to California. However, financial schemer Asa Barrows aims to sabotage the project for personal gain. Jeff Butler, the dedicated troubleshooter, battles against Barrows' enforcer, gambler Sid Campeau. Complicating matters, Campeau's accomplice, Dick Allen, is both Jeff's former comrade from the war and a rival for the affection of engineer Molly Monahan. As tensions rise, the struggle to complete the railroad intensifies, leaving everyone to face the consequences of ambition and loyalty.
