Beauty and the Bandit (1946)

Plot

In Old California, a young Frenchman on a stagecoach journey to San Marino hauls a chest of silver intended for a crucial business transaction. His trip takes a turn when a band of outlaws, led by the enigmatic Cisco (Gilbert Roland), ambushes the coach, claiming the silver was taken from the impoverished locals. While the bandits escape with the loot, Cisco remains behind, only to discover that the traveler is actually Jeanne DuBois (Ramsay Ames). Drawn to each other, they must navigate their conflicting desires: Jeanne's business ambitions versus Cisco's noble plan to return the wealth to those in need.
