The Unpolished (2007)

Plot

Stevie, a bright but troubled 14-year-old girl, grapples with the chaotic nature of her irresponsible parents. Relocating to a quaint town in Germany, she strives to fit in and enhances her persona by fabricating tales of her supposed diplomatic lineage. Initially, her charm wins her some acceptance, but the calm is short-lived. As her parents revert to their old, illegal escapades to fund their carefree lifestyle, their home becomes a hub for misfits and chaos. Amidst this turmoil, Stevie faces the challenge of forging her identity and seeking independence from her tumultuous upbringing.
