Plot

Nénette, an aging orangutan, captivates audiences at a Paris zoo, where she has spent the majority of her life. As a mother of four and survivor of three partners, her emotional connections are limited to a few dedicated caretakers. The film offers an intimate glimpse into her daily existence, focusing on Nénette and her fellow apes in their natural behaviors. Visitors remain a distant presence, seen only as reflections in the glass, while their conversations and interviews with the zookeepers provide insight into the life of this remarkable animal.
