Plot

Dexter Munro and his bride Juliet seek refuge from her overbearing father by purchasing a dilapidated cottage to renovate together. However, their dream quickly turns into a nightmare as they discover the extent of the needed repairs far exceeds their financial means. Reluctantly, they reach out to Juliet's father for help, who promptly hires the bumbling builder Josh Wicks. As chaos ensues, the young couple finds themselves navigating a series of increasingly disastrous situations, highlighting the challenges of love, family, and home improvement gone awry.
