Plot
Lord Loam's progressive views on social equality challenge traditional norms, as he attempts to treat his servants as equals. However, his loyal butler Crichton clings to the belief that the serving class should be content with their roles. When a shipwreck strands the Loam family on a deserted island alongside the resourceful Crichton and the spirited lady’s maid Tweeny, the rigid class distinctions are put to the ultimate test, forcing everyone to confront their beliefs about status and survival in a radically changed environment.
