Plot
Nick Hart, an American artist floundering in the vibrant expatriate scene of 1920s Paris, struggles with his creative ambitions while frequenting local cafés and trying to persuade gallery owner Libby Valentin to showcase his work. His life takes a turn when he gets entangled in a scheme devised by affluent art collector Nathalie de Ville to forge three masterpieces. Complications arise as he faces confrontations with Bertram Stone, a wealthy rubber tycoon and husband of Nick’s former wife, Rachel, adding tension to his artistic and personal endeavors.
