Plot

In 1974, Muhammad Ali, at 32, faces skepticism about his boxing prowess, while the 22-year-old George Foreman reigns as the heavyweight champion. Eager to elevate his own status, promoter Don King entices both fighters with an offer of five million dollars each to face off. With their agreement secured, King seeks financial support and finds a backer in Zaire's dictator, Mobutu Sese Seko. This leads to the historic "Rumble in the Jungle," complemented by a vibrant musical festival featuring iconic black artists, including James Brown and B.B. King, making the event a cultural landmark.
