Plot
Disillusioned with their existence as soldiers, Peachy Carnehan and Danny Dravot embark on a journey to the remote region of Kafiristan. There, they quickly gain the trust and admiration of the locals, who come to see them as sovereign leaders. Through a chain of miscommunications, the villagers mistakenly perceive Dravot as a divine figure. However, the duo soon realizes that maintaining this charade is unsustainable, and their elaborate ruse begins to unravel.
