Plot
Tsugumo Hanshirō, a destitute samurai, arrives at the affluent House of Iyi, seeking a place to perform seppuku. With no employment or family ties, he desires a dignified end and a worthy second to assist him. However, the clan's senior counselor doubts Hanshirō's intentions, suspecting he seeks pity rather than honor. As the narrative unfolds, two interlinked tales emerge, exploring the complex themes of honor versus respect and delving into the legendary tenets of the Samurai code.
