Merging documentary and narrative styles, Lost Book Found offers a thought-provoking exploration of urban life in New York City, captured through over five years of Super-8 and 16mm footage. Central to the story is a mysterious notebook filled with meticulous entries about various places, objects, and events, unlocking a hidden city rich with overlooked histories and remnants of everyday capitalism. Drawn from the filmmaker's early experiences as a pushcart vendor on Canal Street, Cohen utilized discreet equipment and shot across numerous locations, inspired by the writings of Walter Benjamin.
