Plot

Eli and Penny grapple with family dynamics when they invite Eli's grumpy father, Walter, to spend Christmas with them in 1960. Amidst the holiday chaos, they also work on a time capsule for their son Alex’s school project. Flashing forward to 1998, a snowstorm traps Regina and Nelson in her home, sparking an unexpected connection on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, in 2015, Jessie confronts her past while organizing her sister’s impromptu wedding on Christmas Eve, discovering that the officiant is Tim, her high school love, whom she hasn't seen in nearly two decades.
