Plot

During a sweltering August weekend in 1890s North Wales, the peaceful routine of a rural family is disrupted by the unexpected visit of a couple from London. Their sophisticated, urban perspectives clash with the family's traditional values, creating tension and revealing deep-seated conflicts. Drawing inspiration from Anton Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya," this adaptation explores themes of ambition, disillusionment, and the struggle between modernity and pastoral simplicity, ultimately questioning what it means to belong in a rapidly changing world.
