Flavor of Happiness (2008)

Plot

Yamashita Takako, an employee in a department store's food section, dreams of launching an in-store branch of a well-known local Chinese restaurant. However, the chef-owner, Wang Qingkuo from Shanghai, initially dismisses her proposal. When Wang suffers a collapse from exhaustion and faces partial paralysis, rumors circulate about the restaurant's impending closure. Determined to help, Takako resigns from her job and embarks on a culinary apprenticeship under Wang, hoping to revive both his passion and the restaurant’s future.
