Plot

Ross Bodine and Frank Post work as cowhands on the R-Bar-R ranch owned by Walt Buckman. While the older Bodine contemplates his uncertain future, the ambitious young Post dreams of a more prosperous life beyond cattle herding. After a tragic accident claims a fellow cowboy's life, Post proposes a daring robbery of the local bank. Although hesitant, Bodine goes along with the plan, and they successfully escape with the loot. Their betrayal infuriates Buckman and his sons, John and Paul, who are determined to track down their former employees and bring them to justice.
