Plot

Norbu and Dolma, a devoted couple from a Tibetan clan, strive to raise their son Tashi amidst a life of hardship. When Norbu is falsely accused of temple theft, the family faces exile, leading to a devastating turn of events as Tashi succumbs to illness. With the birth of a second son, Norbu becomes determined to protect his new child at all costs. He seeks reinstatement into the clan for his family while battling the harsh realities of isolation and hunger during the unforgiving winter months, pushing him to take desperate measures for their survival.
