Plot

A lavish charity event at Mrs. Cheyney's residence attracts high society, with the enigmatic Fay capturing the attention of wealthy old Lord Elton and dashing playboy Lord Arthur Dilling. At another gathering hosted by Mrs. Webley, Fay’s allure continues to draw both men, though she seems to favor the pompous Elton. When Arthur notices Fay's butler, Charles, who has a shady past as a thief, he suspects Fay's true intentions may involve Mrs. Webley's valuable pearls. Just as Fay attempts to steal the pearls, Arthur catches her in the act, leaving him disillusioned and heartbroken.
