Plot

On April 5, 1941, just a day before the invasion of Yugoslavia, an eclectic mix of travelers gathers on a rural road in Serbia to board an old, rundown bus heading to Belgrade. Among them are two gypsy musicians, a WWI veteran, a German enthusiast, an aspiring singer, a frail man, and a hunter carrying a shotgun. The bus belongs to the elder Krstic, with his naive and simple-minded son Misko behind the wheel, ready to set off on this unexpected journey.
