At Covenant House, situated on the edge of New Orleans' French Quarter, the doors are always open, welcoming anyone in need. Each day, a steady flow of teens arrives, their few belongings crammed into plastic garbage bags. Though just adolescents, they’ve been branded as drug addicts, criminals, and misfits. As one staff member notes, they represent “the most damaged population of youth in society today.” Over a year of filming, brothers Brent and Craig Renaud capture the heartfelt and powerful stories of these remarkable young people seeking refuge, alongside the dedicated staff striving to create hope in their lives.
