Plot
Li-Ann, a romantic idealist, holds steadfast to the notion of soul mates, dismissing potential suitors, including her close friend KS. Everything changes when she meets Jeremy in Chinatown, Singapore, on February 29, 1980, and feels an instant connection. Her joy turns to heartbreak when she learns he's engaged. To atone for his oversight, Jeremy proposes they meet every leap year at the same spot. Over two decades, their sporadic encounters reveal the complexities of love and longing. Ultimately, they must confront their feelings and take a courageous leap toward a future together.
