The tranquil village of Shorne, Kent, was rocked in March 1975 by the brutal murder of 63-year-old vicar Anthony Crean. Found in a gruesome scene, Crean had been violently slain with an axe, leaving the community in disbelief. Detective work led to 22-year-old Patrick Mackay, a seasoned criminal, as the prime suspect. However, lacking substantial evidence, the detective faced a daunting challenge to prove Mackay's guilt and bring justice to the chilling crime that shattered their peaceful existence.
