One Million B.C. is a 1940 fantasy film from Hal Roach Studios, distributed by United Artists, and is also referred to as Cave Man, Man and His Mate, and Tumak. The story follows Tumak, portrayed by Victor Mature, a young caveman determined to bring harmony between the brutal Rock Tribe and the gentle Shell Tribe. Carole Landis plays Loana, the Shell Tribe chief's daughter and Tumak's romantic interest. Lon Chaney Jr. takes on the role of Tumak's strict father, the formidable leader of the Rock Tribe, setting the stage for a tale of love and survival in a prehistoric world.
