Plot

In the Omo Valley of Ethiopia, a tragic belief in the 'mingi' curse leads to the killing of children deemed cursed, thought to bring misfortune to their communities. Lale Labuko, a young man from the Kara tribe, was forever changed at 15 when he witnessed a child’s death and discovered he had lost two sisters to this brutal tradition. Driven by a desire for change, Lale embarks on a five-year journey to challenge this deeply rooted practice, aiming to protect vulnerable children and transform the beliefs of his tribe.
