Plot
Joseph "Doc" Frail, a doctor seeking to escape his troubled history, finds himself in a Montana mining camp dominated by a notorious hanging tree. After saving a man named Rune from execution, Frail takes him on as a servant and assumes the role of the town's physician. He quickly forms a bond with Elizabeth, a woman grappling with trauma, leading to a blossoming romance. However, their love is tested when Elizabeth is assaulted, and in his effort to protect her, Frail inadvertently puts them both in grave danger.
