Plot

Vera Vexley, who edits the puzzle section of the Metropolitan Ledger and works as a part-time consulting detective for the local sheriff’s office, has been invited to spend the holidays with the affluent Sterlings, friends of her family. However, the festive season takes a dark turn when a murder occurs on Christmas morning, revealing that the Sterlings are harboring numerous secrets. As tensions rise among the frantic family members, Vera must navigate their conflicting emotions and solve the case before the situation escalates into further tragedy.
