Plot
Set in the rugged landscapes of 19th century Wyoming, Tom Healy leads a struggling two-wagon theater troupe burdened by debt, largely due to the extravagant spending of his leading lady, Angela, whom he secretly loves. Their fortunes seem to shift in Cheyenne, where they receive enthusiastic applause, and the theater owner becomes enamored with Angela, who skillfully plays his affections. Meanwhile, the dangerous gunslinger Mabry, who is owed money by the wealthiest man in Bonanza, also has his eyes on Angela, complicating their precarious situation as tensions mount.
