Plot
A talented violinist in a small Polish orchestra finds her life turned upside down during a trip to the U.S. when she encounters a celebrated symphony conductor, who happens to be her mother’s former lover. This conductor, plagued by hypochondria and emotional instability, returns to Poland to helm the provincial orchestra, seeking to rekindle his past romance through the violinist. Meanwhile, her husband grapples with jealousy and resentment, both personally and professionally, as tensions rise and relationships are tested. The intertwining of past and present leads to a dramatic exploration of love and ambition.
