Plot
In "Withnail & I," two unemployed actors, the neurotic Marwood and his sharp-tongued, inebriated companion, Withnail, lead aimless lives filled with visits to their dingy apartment, the job center, and the local pub. Their unintentional getaway to the rural estate of Withnail's eccentric, openly gay uncle Monty exposes them to the dreariness of the countryside, where they confront boredom, unsettling locals, and relentless downpours. As they navigate this unexpected retreat, the duo grapples with their disillusionment and the harsh realities of life outside the city.
