Inside the Red Brick Wall (2020)
Plot
In 2019, Hong Kong erupted with protests against a contentious extradition bill. At Polytechnic University, a determined group of students rallies for freedom and democracy. Negotiations with police are fraught and chaotic, marked by megaphone shouts and politically charged anthems blasting from loudspeakers. The vibrant umbrellas the students wield not only shield them from harsh police tactics but also symbolize their daring spirit, teetering on the edge of recklessness. What begins as a spirited fight against authority quickly shifts to a tense standoff when police encircle the campus. Inside the university's red brick walls, the students find themselves trapped for nearly two weeks, grappling with fear, fatigue, and the growing dilemma of whether to stay put or confront the armed authorities outside.
