Plot
Set in 17th century Korea, the story unfolds as the formidable Khan of the Jurchen tribe seeks to conquer China, establishing the Qing dynasty. He demands King In-jo of Joseon bow to his authority, but In-jo remains steadfast in his loyalty to the Ming dynasty. On December 14, 1636, the Qing forces launch an invasion of Joseon, prompting King In-jo and his court to retreat to the mountain stronghold of Namhan. There, they brace themselves for a fierce defense against the encroaching army, fighting to protect their sovereignty and honor.
