Plot
Wealthy socialite Connie Allenbury finds herself at the center of scandal when a prominent newspaper labels her a home-wrecker. Infuriated, she launches a multi-million-dollar libel suit against the paper. To counter her claims, the beleaguered editor Warren Haggerty devises a plan, enlisting the help of his stressed fiancée, Gladys Benton, and charming friend Bill Chandler. Their attempt to undermine Connie spirals into a series of humorous and unpredictable events, leading to surprising outcomes that challenge their initial intentions and relationships.
