Guest Wife (1945)

Plot

Christopher Price, a devoted small-town bank executive, looks up to his childhood friend, renowned war correspondent Joseph Jefferson Parker. However, his wife Mary grows increasingly frustrated with Joe's influence over Chris. Just before the Prices embark on a second honeymoon to New York City, Joe arrives with a peculiar request: he needs Mary to impersonate his wife to deceive his boss, who believes Joe married an overseas woman during his assignment. As the trio navigates the chaos of city life, Mary decides to turn the tables, feigning affection for Joe to teach both men a valuable lesson.
