Plot
Set in 1980 Warsaw, the Communist regime dispatches discontented radio journalist Winkel to Gdańsk to investigate the shipyard strikers, focusing on Maciek Tomczyk, a leader of an independent labor union whose father died during the December 1970 protests. Under the guise of compassion, Winkel conducts interviews with those close to Tomczyk, including his imprisoned wife, Agnieszka, as he seeks to uncover damaging information against them.
