Plot

Amidst the gritty backdrop of New York City's Alphabet City, survival takes precedence for its impoverished residents. Brazilian immigrant Rita La Punta and her troubled son, Thiago, reside in a derelict building, where they are entwined with a group of Hispanic youths peddling heroin and cocaine. A seemingly trivial turf dispute ignites a wave of violence that spirals beyond their control, affecting the entire community. As chaos ensues, the harsh realities of life in this unforgiving environment become painfully clear, leaving no one untouched by the fallout.
